Haul || Christmas Decoration

This isn’t what i’m planning to be my normal post, but seeing as it’s the most wonderful time of the year, I thought it was apt!
It’s cold outside, you’re warm inside and everyone is just that little bit happier. The festivities have definitely started in my house, my bedroom is a Christmas grotto! So I thought it was a good time to show you what I’ve bought to decorate my house this Christmas.

My favourite purchase is my wreath from the Next Home section. I love the fact that it is light tones, rather than the dark ‘evergreen’ style of most Christmas decorations. I feel it fits my house decor much better (Cream, white, grey.. and more cream!). Rather than getting ruined outside in the cold and rain,  I have placed it on the entrance into our living room so you can see it as you enter the house but also whilst you’re watching TV.

Just look at those little dew drops! The cutest!
The tree is a little larger than expected! Thankfully however, I have a big bedroom so it doesn’t dwarf the room. Plus it’s a handy item to have for my future home & living room. I purchased this in Homebase when they held a 20% off all artificial trees so it wasn’t too expensive.
The small baubles came in my favourite colours- different tones of copper. They came in a pack of 84 from Next, for only £10! Unfortunately I can’t find them online any more.
I chose a few larger ones to add to the tree, ones that caught my eye and would love to keep for years to come. The glass globes with cut outs were again from Homebase, I really liked how they aren’t the usual bauble. Aren’t the penguins so cute?

This star was from Next. I had to pick it up, its copper! It stands out on the tree a lot more than the glass globes, so I think next year I might purchase a few more of them to start a theme.
My firm favourites for trinket shopping are usually H&M Home, the White Company, John Lewis and Not on the high street. H&M cater for my copper and marble obsessions fantastically, whilst the White Company caters for my ‘everything else has to be white’ obsession.
In my bedroom I have been burning a White Company candle in the scent ‘Winter’– this is a spicy scent, which immediately reminds me of Christmas. It has a very cinnamon smell to it and the whole room smells lovely. Downstairs I have the three wick ‘White Christmas’ candle also from the White Company. I got this as a present from my parents last Christmas and i’ve managed to save it and only burn it very occasionally as it was an expensive purchase and the smell is for special occasions!
What have you decorated your house with this year? Where are your favourite places to purchase Christmas decorations?
Merry Christmas,
Lil’ Black Boots
