Above are a selection of perfumes I am lusting over
right now. I very rarely treat myself to perfumes, so when I do they are truly
thought out and tested multiple times before I actually purchase. Each of these
I have sampled on many trips into London and local department stores and my
love for them has not faded.
Now don't get me wrong, I'm not about to buy all of
them at once! Probably only one in a few months time (I'm thinking Jo Malone
Blackberry and Bay) once I have saved and justified the expense to myself! I
always wince at the price of perfumes and find it hard to commit to a new
scent, I usually stick to asking for a bottle each birthday and Christmas and
that tides me over. However this leaves me with only one choice in the morning
(as they usually last me around six months a bottle) which can get quite
boring.
My current perfume favourite is YSL Black Opium;
this is a very sweet smell but not too sickly sweet. Every time I wear it to
work someone will compliment the scent. YSL describe it as their new glam rock
fragrance full of mystery and energy- I'm not sure what they mean by that but
it does certainly have a distinct smell and I don't see myself going off
it any time soon.
The rest are wishes for me:
Jo Malone- Blackberry and Bay
My next purchase, this perfume is a wonderfully
sweet but not too sweet scent. Jo Malone describes it as reminding you of
childhood memories of blackberry picking- such truth! This is one of those
scents that I put on in the shop and for the rest of the day am constantly
shoving my wrist into Rob's face saying SMELL ME!
Chloé
This is a signature scent, its very light
and floral scented. 'Cheeky, free and sophisticated, it vibrates with a
woody tone, a touch of ambergris and a sheen of cedar scent'. Loooove.
Chanel- Coco Mademoiselle
This is just sophistication in a bottle. Chanel
fragrances will always feel so decadent to me, and coco Mademoiselle is one of
those that I truly love. Chanel describes this as notes of orange, jasmine,
rose, patchouli and vetiver.
Dior- Miss Dior
Miss Dior is a very romantic perfume. I would
describe is as fresh and fruity- having notes of citrus but also a musk.
Eccentric Molecules- Molecule 01
Molecule 01 is such an amazing invention, it smells
different on everyone and fortunately on me I love it. I believe it changes
with the pH of your skin (don't hold me to that). I find this hard to describe
but trust me, its magical.
Tom Ford- Black Orchid
Described as a 'sensuous blend of Black Truffle and
Ylang mingled with fresh Bergamot and delectable Black Currant'. This is truly
a unique scent and I have used up an entire bottle. You would recognise it
as soon as you smell it, and this perfume is definitely one of my favourites.
Georgio Armani- Si Signature Rose
I haven't actually smelt the original Si in a long
time, but knowing about the new release of his I had to give it a try. The
scent of this is actually quite strong and powerful compared to the others I
have mentioned in this post, with the fragrance hanging around for a long time-
no need to top up! The description of this is blackcurrant, rose (obviously)
and vanilla.

Good post but I was wondering if you could write a litte more on this subject? I’d be very thankful if you could elaborate a little bit further. Appreciate it..! fragrancebuzz.com
ReplyDeletePerfume dealers always have a stock of perfume testers in their stores, which are small bottles of actual designer perfumes that they use to spritz the sampler strips that they give out to customers. You have probably seen quite a few of these perfume testers in stores but did you know that you can actually buy them as well? It will be just like getting yourself a bottle of your favorite designer perfume but without the luxurious packaging and at only a fraction of the retail price. ابراهيم القرشي
