2016 || Goals for Lil' Black Boots

Happy New Year everyone!
It’s the time of year where we all start reminiscing on our previous years, and planning for the next. I always find January a little dull, so a little inspiration won’t do me any harm! So, a cliche post, but I hope to be able to look back on this post throughout the year to gauge just how far I have come.

As you can tell, I have struggled with the whole ‘planning in advance’ for my blog posts- hence the delay in getting any content out. I now have a stock of photos on my laptop, ready to write posts up and *hopefully* post more regularly.
I also aim to learn the art of photography. I look at other blogs in awe at their beautiful photos and I hope this year I might be able to get somewhat closer to achieving this goal. I’ve started saving for the Olympus Pen E-PL7 in white, so fingers crossed that will help!
Linked to above, I also want to put a little more priority in remaining organised. Realistically, i’m super organised, everything is in my diary & phone calendar, I have a list for everything! However I know I could take it a little further and become a more productive version of myself. Spreadsheet at the ready!
2015 was a year of over indulgence and laziness. 2016 will not be! A few weeks ago, it hit me that nothing will change, if I don’t change it myself, no more excuses!
1. Drink more water
2. Exercise ( I pay for a gym membership, just go Katie!)
3. Lose weight and tone
4. Eat when hungry, not when I’m not!
5. Stress less
This year I aim to not say no to meet ups of old friends, due to silly little excuses like not being able to afford it. A priority for 2016 is to stay in touch with those I have neglected over the past few years, my home friends, my uni friends, new friends at work! Sitting in front of the TV every evening isn’t productive or fun and I need to make more effort to go out in the evenings, either into London or at home.
I still haven’t figured out where I want my career to go long term, but for now I would like to excel in where I am. Bigger and better.
2015 brought exciting changes in my job- I got to visit Boston, flew to Madrid, hired colleagues in Europe and Brazil, moved from Oxfordshire to London and became a commuter! It has been a whirlwind, a stressful whirlwind, but worth it. I hope this year brings even more excitement in the role, and more travel around the world!
Travel somewhere new! Doesn’t matter if it’s with work or personal, I want to see the world!

On to bigger and better things.
Bring on 2016!
